Two Shot Near Kiwanis Stadium During Graduation Gathering in Forest Park

Two individuals were hospitalized following a shooting near Kiwanis Stadium on the evening of June 3, 2025, according to the City of Forest Park Police Department.

At approximately 7:29 p.m., officers responded to a report of a possible shooting in the 600 block of South Avenue. Upon arrival, police located two male victims, ages 40 and 18, both suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting occurred during a private high school graduation gathering that included out-of-town guests. Authorities have not yet made any arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.
