Jesup Drug Raid Nets Large Amount of Cash and Fentanyl; One Arrested, Another Wanted

Sheriff R.E. “Chuck” Moseley of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office announced a major narcotics bust on May 31, 2025, following an eight-month investigation by the Jesup/Wayne Tactical Narcotics Team. The operation, supported by Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Patrol/CID, Jesup Police Department Patrol/CID, McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office, and Bacon County Sheriff’s Office, resulted in the execution of a search warrant at 340 Gray Drive in Jesup.
Authorities seized over $76,000 in cash along with a large quantity of illegal drugs, including:
- Approximately 758 grams of Fentanyl (estimated 379,300 lethal doses)
- Approximately 344 grams of Methamphetamine
- Approximately 172 grams of Cocaine
- Approximately 10 grams of Marijuana
- 350 grams of Promethazine Hydrochloride and Codeine (controlled substance)
- Firearms and drug-related objects
Travis Hardy of Jesup was arrested at the scene and charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
- Trafficking Methamphetamine
- Trafficking Cocaine
- Trafficking Schedule II (Fentanyl)
- Possession of drug-related objects
- Possession of marijuana less than 1 oz.
- Possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (Promethazine and Codeine)

In connection with the case, authorities have issued a wanted alert for Irvison Fernandez Perez, also known as Joyey Perez, 32, of Jesup. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5’6″, 145 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. Perez is wanted on the following charges:
- Trafficking Fentanyl
- Trafficking Methamphetamine
- Trafficking Cocaine
- Possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
