Over $255,000 Seized in Villa Rica Drug Investigation Following Earlier Large Drug Bust

On January 17, 2025, a collaborative effort by the West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office (WMRDEO), Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force (NWGDTF), Paulding County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), and the GBI led to the arrest of Timothy Demarcus Daniel and the search of his Villa Rica residence.
During the arrest and subsequent search, law enforcement agents seized approximately $255,474.00 in U.S. currency, believed to be proceeds from illegal drug trafficking. This action followed a significant drug seizure on January 2, 2025, where agents confiscated 7,799 grams of marijuana (17 bags), 4,830.5 grams of marijuana (27 bags), 316 ounces of GHB, 356.3 grams of Oxycodone, 7.7 grams of Oxycodone (19 pills), 517.3 grams of THC, and 79 suspected hydrocodone tablets/pills.
On March 11, 2025, the Paulding County District Attorney’s Office initiated a civil asset forfeiture action to seize all funds and assets connected to the illegal drug operations.
District Attorney Robert S. Lane issued a stern warning to drug dealers, stating, “Drug dealers are on notice that my office will not only send them to prison, we are going to take the wealth they have obtained at the expense of our loved ones.”
