Savannah Police Arrest Man for Aggravated Assault Following Frazier Homes Roll Call

The Savannah Police Department (SPD) located and arrested 25-year-old Hershel Tanksley on April 15th. He has been charged with aggravated assault following a Frazier Homes roll call in the street.

The arrest stems from a domestic violence incident that occurred on February 10, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m. in the 600 block of W. Gwinnett Court. Following an investigation into the incident, an aggravated assault warrant was issued for Tanksley.

Tanksley was taken into custody without incident at around 6:30 p.m. on April 15th and was transported to the Chatham County Detention Center. Authorities are asking anyone with further information to contact CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
