Richmond County Deputy Arrested After Domestic Dispute with Fellow Officer

A Richmond County Sheriff’s Office deputy was arrested following a domestic dispute involving another deputy on the morning of March 31, 2025.
At approximately 9:22 a.m., deputies responded to a residence on the 2600 block of Bowdoin Drive, where they determined the altercation involved Deputy Malcolm Bowens and Deputy Raneisha Price.
Deputy Bowens sustained a half-inch laceration to the back of his head and told deputies that Deputy Price had pushed him in the face, causing his head to strike the corner of a wall. He later sought medical treatment at a local hospital.
Deputy Price was located at her residence on Wheeler Road by responding deputies. After being read her Miranda rights, she admitted to pushing Deputy Bowens with her arm and hand before leaving the residence.
Deputy Raneisha Price was arrested and charged with Simple Battery, Family Violence. She was transported to the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.
Chief of Staff Lewis Blanchard placed Deputy Price on non-paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. Sheriff Gino Brantley stated, “We hold those who work for us to the highest standards of conduct, both on and off duty. Our agency offers a variety of support and counseling services to deputies in a proactive manner to prevent incidents like this from occurring. However, when individuals violate the law, we will deal with it accordingly.”
Deputy Raneisha Price has been with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office since November 30, 2019, and is assigned to Field Operations/Road Patrol. The sheriff’s office has pledged a thorough and impartial investigation into the matter.
