Bibb County Deputies Arrest Wanted Suspect After Pursuit on Massey Road

A wanted suspect was taken into custody on Massey Road after attempting to flee from Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

According to reports, a deputy observed a Geo Tracker run a red light and attempted a traffic stop. The driver accelerated, leading deputies on a pursuit. The vehicle stopped near an abandoned home, where both the driver and passenger fled on foot.

Deputies apprehended the male passenger, who resisted arrest and fought a deputy before being taken into custody. He faces multiple charges, including fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer for a felony offense, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers by use of threats or violence, possession of methamphetamine, and failure to appear.

The suspect was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center. The case remains under investigation.
