Thomaston Bank Robbery Suspect Sought by Police

Thomaston Police are seeking a suspect who robbed United Bank on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

At approximately 4:10 p.m., officers responded to a panic alarm at the bank’s northside location. While en route, a second 911 call reported a black male suspect fleeing the bank on foot up Garner Street.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male wearing all black clothing, a hoodie, and sunglasses, and carrying a black duffle bag with red writing.

According to a bank teller, the suspect handed her an iPad with a note demanding money and threatening to shoot her. No weapon was displayed or reported seen. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank.

Despite an immediate search of the area by Thomaston Police officers and Upson County Sheriff’s Office deputies, the suspect was not located. Authorities believe he may have fled in a vehicle parked nearby.
