Royston Man Charged with Rape and Child Molestation Following Months-Long Investigation

Shedrick Orlando Smith of Royston, Georgia, has been charged with three counts each of rape and child molestation following a months-long investigation by the Royston Police Department.
Lt. Galen Johnson secured the warrants for Smith’s arrest after an investigation revealed probable cause that he committed the alleged offenses.
“I am proud of our team here at the Royston Police Department,” said Chief Brooks Moorhead. “Through dedication and hard work, we have been able to get a serious offender off the streets. Lt. Johnson, specifically, has worked tirelessly on this case to bring about justice!”
