Former Haralson County Detention Officer Pleads Guilty to Theft, Sentenced to Probation

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, former Haralson County Sheriff’s Office Detention Officer Jada Lee Pike pleaded guilty to Violation of Oath of Office and Theft by Taking in the Superior Court of Haralson County, Georgia.
As part of a plea agreement between her attorney and the District Attorney’s Office, Pike was sentenced to ten years of probation and ordered to pay $11,295 in restitution on the day of her plea.
The charges resulted from a 2021 investigation initiated by Sheriff Stacy Williams, who ordered a comprehensive audit of all Sheriff’s Office accounts upon taking office. Chief Deputy Jamison Sailors uncovered discrepancies in the inmate account, revealing that Pike had embezzled over $11,000 during a two-year period before Williams assumed office.
A Grand Jury indicted Pike in December 2023, leading her to turn herself in.
“I appreciate the effort of Chief Sailors and the Haralson County District Attorney’s Office in getting justice as well as restitution in this case,” said Sheriff Williams. “We must hold ourselves accountable, that is an integral part of having our citizens’ trust. We have implemented a system of checks and balances to ensure that nothing like this happens in the future.”
