Man Fatally Stabbed at Kick N Chicken in Columbus; Employee Arrested
On Monday, January 20, 2025, at 7:23 p.m., Columbus Police responded to a reported stabbing at Kick N Chicken, located in the 5100 block of Warm Springs Road. Officers arrived to find 28-year-old Quadarius Reynolds suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional, where he later died from his injuries.
According to investigators, a verbal altercation between Reynolds and Kick N Chicken employee James Applewhite, 24, escalated into a physical confrontation. During the incident, Applewhite allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed Reynolds. The victim was found at a nearby business after leaving the store.
Applewhite has been arrested and charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Knife during the Commission of a Crime.
