Brookhaven Juvenile Arrested in Connection with Cliff Valley Way Shooting

The Brookhaven Police Department has arrested a juvenile suspect in connection with a shooting on the 1300 block of N. Cliff Valley Way that occurred on November 8, 2024. At approximately 3:33 p.m., Brookhaven Police responded to reports of a person shot and found a juvenile victim with a gunshot wound. Officers provided immediate first aid, and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical but stable condition.

Brookhaven Police investigators began gathering information at the scene, interviewing witnesses and uncovering that the victim had arrived at the location expecting a physical altercation but was instead met with gunfire. Through their investigation, police identified and arrested a juvenile suspect on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery, with additional charges possible.

Police Chief Brandon Gurley praised the rapid response and dedication of his team, stating, “Our officers acted quickly and decisively in response to this violent incident, and our investigators worked tirelessly to bring the suspect into custody.
