On Thursday, October 24, 2024, at approximately 1:15 A.M., the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office arrested Danyal Johnson, a 49-year-old male from Tifton, Georgia, who is employed as a teacher at Crisp County Middle School.

The arrest followed a report from a mandated reporter on October 23, 2024, concerning allegations of improper sexual conduct between Johnson and a juvenile. An investigation by the Crisp County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) uncovered evidence that led to the issuance of a warrant for Johnson’s arrest on charges of Sexual Misconduct by Persons with Supervisory or Disciplinary Authority.
