Georgia DOT Seeks Public Input on Updated Administrative Modification and Amendment Process

The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) is inviting public feedback on the updated Georgia Statewide and Metropolitan Administrative Modification and Amendment Process. The comment period is open until September 15, 2024.

The updated process outlines revisions to the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and the Transportation Improvement Programs (TIP) of individual Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs). Recent changes include revised language for enhanced clarity and adjustments to financial thresholds to better address rising project costs due to inflation.

Georgia DOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) have collaborated on the language modifications and the amendment triggers. The public is encouraged to participate in the comment period, which will end on September 15, 2024.
