Three Arrested After Armed Carjacking in Brunswick Villa Area

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. – Three men have been arrested in connection with an armed carjacking that occurred Saturday morning in the Brunswick Villa area, according to the Glynn County Police Department.

Officers responded on July 11 after receiving a report of an armed carjacking.

Investigators said the victim had arrived in the area to pick up an individual when he was approached by three suspects. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and ordered the victim out of his vehicle.

The suspects then stole the victim’s vehicle, along with his wallet, cellphone and approximately $2,000 worth of power tools before fleeing the scene.

A short time later, officers located the stolen vehicle abandoned nearby. The victim’s power tools were recovered inside the vehicle.

Detectives and crime scene investigators processed the recovered vehicle and collected additional evidence.

Through the investigation, detectives identified the three suspects and later executed search warrants that resulted in their arrests.

Authorities identified the suspects as Reginald Copeland, Ronald Williams and Antonio Fisher.

Each is charged with hijacking a motor vehicle, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Police said the investigation remains active, and additional charges may be filed as detectives continue reviewing evidence.
