U.S. Marshals, Richmond County Deputies Arrest Young Murder Suspect in 2025 Augusta Homicide
AUGUSTA, Ga. — A 19-year-old man wanted in connection with a 2025 homicide in Augusta has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
On June 24, members of the U.S. Marshals Service Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force, assisted by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Team, arrested Tyrule DaMario Tillman at a residence in the 3000 block of Strickland Court in Augusta.
The arrest is connected to the February 15, 2025, killing of James Wise in the 1900 block of Cooney Circle in Augusta.
Following his arrest, Tillman was charged with Murder and booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.
Authorities also arrested 35-year-old Shakira Tillman, who was charged with Harboring a Criminal in connection with the investigation.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office thanked the U.S. Marshals Service Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force for its assistance in locating and safely apprehending the suspect.
The homicide investigation remains active, and no additional information has been released.
