Rincon Man Arrested After Woman Found Critically Injured Following Garden City Shooting
GARDEN CITY, Ga. — A 29-year-old Rincon man has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting that left a woman critically injured Thursday morning, according to the Garden City Police Department.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 6:51 a.m. on June 11 to the Love’s Travel Stop located at 2 Sonny Perdue Drive after receiving reports of a shooting victim.
When officers arrived, they found a woman inside a vehicle suffering from life-threatening injuries. Emergency medical personnel transported her to a hospital for treatment.
Investigators later determined the shooting occurred near the intersection of Old Louisville Road and Dean Forest Road in Garden City.
Following an investigation, Garden City detectives arrested Ryan Boyd, 29, of Rincon, at approximately 1 p.m.
Boyd has been charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery and other related offenses.
He was transported to the Chatham County Detention Center for booking.
The victim remains in critical condition, according to police.
The investigation remains ongoing.
