Teen Arrested, Second Suspect Identified in Augusta Armed Robbery Shooting
AUGUSTA, Ga. — A 16-year-old has been arrested and a second suspect identified following an armed robbery that left a man hospitalized with a gunshot wound, authorities said.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 12:56 a.m. April 26, 2026, to the 600 block of Crawford Avenue in reference to an armed robbery and aggravated assault.
Investigators said a 35-year-old male victim was shot during the incident and transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
On April 27, deputies located and arrested Sincere Cooper, 16, of Augusta, at his residence. He has been charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.
Authorities said a second suspect has been identified, and charges are pending.
The investigation remains active, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
