Lowndes County Deputies Seek Armed, Dangerous Suspects in Deadly Shooting Investigation

LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. — The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating two suspects wanted in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month.

On February 11, 2026, deputies responded to the 500 block of Myddleton Road after receiving a report of an unresponsive male. The victim, identified as Damarcus Thomas, was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators identified Madelyn Norris Rogers and Javante Jamal Hunter as suspects in the case. Both are currently wanted and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Suspect descriptions:

Madelyn Norris Rogers

  • White female
  • Approximately 5’5”, 155 pounds
  • Brown or black hair, blue eyes
  • Butterfly tattoo on her neck
  • Tattoos on left arm and hand

Javante Jamal Hunter

  • Black male
  • Approximately 5’9”, 195 pounds
  • Black hair, brown eyes
  • Tattoos on right arm

Authorities urge anyone with information about the suspects’ whereabouts or details related to the investigation to contact the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office at 229-671-2900 or call 911 immediately.

The investigation remains ongoing.
