Albany Police Seek Public’s Help in Homicide Investigation After Teen Killed on Carriage Lane
Wanted person of interest

ALBANY, Ga. – Albany Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 22-year-old man wanted for questioning in a homicide investigation stemming from a deadly shooting late last month.

Officers responded around 7 a.m. Saturday, November 29, to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of Carriage Lane in Albany, GA. When officers arrived, they found a male victim outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler later identified the victim as 19-year-old Jabion Jackson.

As the investigation progressed, detectives initially named Leonardo Hamilton Jr. as a person of interest and issued a public alert seeking information on his whereabouts. On Wednesday, December 31, the Albany Police Department announced that Hamilton was no longer considered a person of interest.

Investigators have since identified Quantravious Randall Jr., 22, as the individual they want to question in connection with the homicide. The department released a previous booking photograph of Randall as part of the effort to locate him.

The Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau is urging anyone with information about Randall’s whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS or the Albany Police Department at 229-302-0796.

The investigation remains active.
