Savannah Police Investigate Christmas Day Shooting After Vehicle Collision on 48th Street
SAVANNAH, Georgia – On Thursday, December 25, 2025, the Savannah Police Department responded to reports of a shooting near 48th Street and Burroughs Street that left two adult males injured.
According to police, the incident began when the victims, while driving, struck a parked vehicle near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 46th Street. Following the collision, the victims were fired upon and attempted to flee the scene. During the escape, their vehicle collided with another unoccupied vehicle, and both men sustained gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders provided initial medical aid, and both victims were transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center. Their injuries have been reported as non-life-threatening.
