Two Teens Charged After Fatal Robbery Shooting on Baymeadows Drive in Valdosta

Quick coordination among patrol officers, detectives, and specialized units led to the detention of two teenagers less than an hour after Valdosta Police arrived at a homicide scene.

On December 19, 2025, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Valdosta Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Baymeadows Drive after multiple callers contacted E911 to report a shooting. One caller advised that a person was lying on the ground. Officers arrived and located 35-year-old Jordan Warren suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Officers immediately began life-saving measures until Valdosta Fire Department personnel and South Georgia Medical Center EMS arrived. Warren was transported to South Georgia Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives, crime scene personnel, and patrol officers quickly began canvassing the area for witnesses and evidence. Surveillance video was obtained from nearby residences and showed two individuals running from the scene immediately after the shooting. Using that footage along with witness statements, investigators tracked the suspects to a residence in the 1500 block of Baymeadows Drive.

Officers and detectives made contact at the home and located two teenagers who matched the descriptions seen in the surveillance footage. The individuals were identified as 18-year-old Jeremiah Albritton and a 16-year-old juvenile male. Both were detained and transported to the Valdosta Police Department for questioning.

During the investigation, detectives learned that the two suspects approached Warren with a firearm and forcibly took a backpack-style bag from him. Witnesses stated that as Warren attempted to pull away, he produced a firearm of his own. Multiple gunshots were then heard, and Warren was struck once in the chest.

The Valdosta Police Department K9 Unit responded and conducted a track through a wooded area near the scene. During the search, K9 officers located evidence believed to be connected to the robbery. Detectives also executed a search warrant at the suspects’ residence, where additional evidence linking them to the shooting was recovered.

Both Albritton and the juvenile are charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Albritton was transported to the Lowndes County Jail, while the juvenile was taken to a Regional Youth Detention Center.

Warren’s body will be transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. The investigation remains ongoing.
