Teen Turns Himself In Following Fatal Shurling Drive Shooting Investigation in Macon
MACON, GA – Investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred on Shurling Drive on December 17, 2025.
Deputies were first dispatched to the 1900 block of Shurling Drive after Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 received a call at 11:57 a.m. reporting a person had been shot. When deputies arrived, they found an 18-year-old male unresponsive from a gunshot wound. Deputy Coroner Luann Stone later identified the victim as Dekerrio Jamontez Cobb, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
As the investigation progressed, investigators identified 17-year-old Brandon Robinson as a suspect in Cobb’s death. Arrest warrants were issued on Wednesday in connection with the case. On December 18, 2025, Robinson contacted investigators and voluntarily turned himself in just before 10:00 p.m.
Robinson was transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center, where he has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He is currently being held without bond as the investigation continues.
