Man Critically Injured in Aggravated Assault Shooting on Pansy Avenue in Macon
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault that left a man critically injured Friday morning in Macon.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the incident was reported to the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at approximately 11:56 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025. Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Pansy Avenue after receiving a call about a person who had been shot inside a residence.
When deputies arrived on scene, they located a 38-year-old male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the victim by ambulance to a local medical facility for treatment. Medical staff later advised deputies that the victim is currently listed in critical condition.
At this time, investigators have not released details regarding what led up to the shooting or whether any suspects have been identified. The circumstances surrounding the aggravated assault remain under active investigation, and authorities say additional information will be released as it becomes available.
