Valdosta Police Arrest Two Juveniles, Recover Stolen Guns After Suspicious Activity Call

On December 14, 2025, Valdosta Police Department officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 500 block of Vallotton Drive. A citizen reported seeing three masked juveniles brandishing a firearm, prompting an immediate police response.

Upon arrival, the reporting citizen directed officers to the juveniles, who were inside a local business, Sud City. When officers made contact, a 14-year-old male appeared to be concealing a firearm under his clothing and initially resisted arrest. Additional officers arrived, and after a brief struggle, the juvenile was taken into custody. A handgun, later confirmed stolen, was recovered from his clothing.

A K9 unit tracked the remaining two juveniles who had fled the scene. Officers located one of them, a 13-year-old, and took him into custody. The third juvenile, identified as a 15-year-old Valdosta resident, has not yet been apprehended.

The 14-year-old faces charges including felony theft by receiving stolen property (gun), misdemeanor possession of a firearm by a minor, and misdemeanor obstruction of an officer. He was detained at a Regional Youth Detention Center by the Department of Juvenile Justice. The 13-year-old was charged with misdemeanor obstruction of an officer and released to his parents.

During the search of the area, officers recovered a second stolen firearm hidden in a trashcan. Investigators have indicated that additional charges are forthcoming, and the arrest of the third juvenile is pending. The Valdosta Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
