Man Arrested After Attempted Kidnapping of Two 12-Year-Old Girls in Glynn County

A 21-year-old man is in custody after Glynn County police responded to an attempted kidnapping involving two 12-year-old girls on Burnett Road near New Jesup Highway.

Officers were dispatched on November 27 after a 911 caller reported that an adult male approached the girls, tried to grab their arms, and attempted to persuade them to go with him. Patrol officers arrived quickly and found the suspect still in the area.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division interviewed witnesses, spoke with the suspect, and collected evidence. Following the investigation, officers arrested Evert Amaya Luna and charged him with two counts of Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes.
