Deadly Officer-Involved Shooting in Midland Claims Suspect and Two Teen Stepsons
Midland, Harris County, GA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is probing a deadly officer-involved shooting in Midland, Georgia, at the request of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred on Monday, November 17, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., when deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute in the 100 block of Christopher’s Way. Upon arrival, deputies encountered 50-year-old Eric Grigsby, who reportedly exited the home armed with two guns and refused commands to drop them. Deputies fired at Grigsby, striking him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
After securing the residence, deputies discovered the bodies of two boys inside the home, a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old, both identified as Grigsby’s stepsons. The GBI will conduct autopsies on Grigsby and the two minors at the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office.
No deputies were injured during the incident. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
