Atlanta Police Arrest Homicide Suspect After Vehicle and Foot Pursuit

On November 4, 2025, officers with the Atlanta Police Department’s Auto Crimes Enforcement Unit, in coordination with the Gang, Air, and Homicide Units, apprehended a suspect wanted in an ongoing homicide investigation following a high-speed vehicle and foot pursuit in southwest Atlanta.

The incident began near 3810 Campbellton Road SW, where officers attempted to stop a silver 2017 Ford Fusion. The driver, later identified as Tremeico Quncell Watson, fled at high speeds through a residential area, prompting officers to use a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) to safely stop the vehicle near Camp Ground Road SW.

Watson exited the car and attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended. The male passenger, identified as Torrance Ray Hampton Jr., surrendered without incident. Officers recovered a firearm from the vehicle during the investigation.

Watson faces multiple charges, including felony fleeing, reckless driving, and obstruction, and will be transferred to the Fulton County Jail pending the ongoing homicide investigation. The Atlanta Police Department praised the coordinated effort of all units involved in safely apprehending the suspect while minimizing risk to the public.
