Death Investigation Underway After Missing Person Found Deceased in Macon Apartment

MACON, Ga.—The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death discovered inside an apartment on Sanford Avenue. Deputies responded to Sanford Arms Apartments at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, following a report of a missing person.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 42-year-old female, identified as Teasha Ariele Colbert of Macon, unresponsive inside a residence. Coroner Leon Jones pronounced Colbert deceased at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.
