Two Separate Late-Night Shootings Reported in Albany Leave Victims Hospitalized

Albany Police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred late Thursday night, leaving two people hospitalized.

On August 21, 2025, at approximately 11:43 p.m., officers responded to R&M Grocery at 2401 Martin Luther King Dr. after reports of a shooting. The victim, Catresia White, 25, was found with gunshot wounds and transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.

Just 12 minutes later, at 11:55 p.m., officers were dispatched to another shooting in the 500 block of Blaylock Street. Investigators say Malik Marshall, 28, was outside a parked vehicle when a suspect pulled up and opened fire. Marshall was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and remains in critical condition.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
