Forsyth County Deputies Seize Million in Counterfeit Goods, Two Arrested

Cumming, GA – On Friday, August 22, 2025, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office executed multiple search warrants across the county, including a retail location in Cumming City Center, as part of a months-long investigation into trademark infringement.

Detectives seized counterfeit merchandise valued at more than $1 million and arrested two individuals. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.

“Trademark infringement is not a victimless crime,” said Sheriff Ron Freeman. “It harms consumers who believe they are purchasing legitimate products, it damages reputable businesses and manufacturers, and it contributes to larger global issues such as child labor. Our detectives will continue to hold accountable those who profit from these illegal practices.”

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office continues to work with federal and state partners, and no further details have been released to protect the integrity of the ongoing case.
