Shooting Near Conyers QuickTrip Leaves One Hospitalized, Suspect at Large

ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) is investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon near the QuickTrip on Highway 138 in Conyers.

Deputies responded to the scene at approximately 4:13 p.m. after reports of gunfire. One victim was located and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The condition of the victim has not been released.

The suspect involved remains at large. Authorities stated that while the investigation continues, there is no immediate threat to the public.

“This is an active and ongoing investigation,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. Additional details are expected as the case develops.
