Three Teens Arrested in Glynn County Carjacking, Shooting Incident

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. – Three Brunswick teens have been arrested following a carjacking and shooting that left a man injured on Thursday night, August 14.

At approximately 11:17 p.m., Glynn County Police officers responded to the Dash Food Mart at 3900 Newcastle Street, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Glynn County Fire Rescue provided emergency medical aid before the victim was transported to the Southeast Georgia Health System – Brunswick Campus. His injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

On August 16, detectives arrested three suspects in connection with the incident:

  • Alonzo Triplett III, 17: Hijacking a Motor Vehicle, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Crimes, and Possession of a Handgun by a Person Under 18.
  • Jimirol White Jr., 17: Party to the Crime of Motor Vehicle Hijacking, Party to the Crime of Aggravated Assault, False Statements and Writings, Possession of Stolen Property (Firearm), and Possession of a Handgun by a Person Under 18. White was in possession of a stolen handgun at the time of his arrest.
  • A 16-year-old male: Party to the Crime of Motor Vehicle Hijacking, Party to the Crime of Aggravated Assault, and False Statements and Writings.

Triplett and White were booked into the Glynn County Detention Center, while the 16-year-old was transported to a youth detention facility.
