Roswell Bust Uncovers Drug Conversion Lab, Over 15 kg of Meth and Cocaine Seized

ROSWELL, GA – A joint investigation between the Roswell Police Department (RPD), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) has led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of over 15 kilograms of methamphetamine and cocaine. A suspected drug conversion lab was also discovered inside a Roswell apartment.
The investigation began on August 2 when CBP intercepted a package from Mexico containing nearly 8 kilograms of liquid methamphetamine destined for a Roswell apartment at 290 Old Holcomb Bridge Way. RPD detectives then conducted a controlled delivery of the package on August 7.
Once a resident accepted the package, a search warrant was executed, and two suspects were detained: Mariel Galan-Arguello and Martin Domingo.
A search of the apartment uncovered a sophisticated drug operation. In addition to the delivered package, detectives found six more bottles of liquid methamphetamine, as well as crystal methamphetamine and cocaine. The street value of the seized drugs is estimated at over $750,000. Investigators also located equipment and chemicals used to convert liquid methamphetamine into its crystal form, leading them to believe the apartment was being used as a drug conversion lab.
Galan-Arguello and Domingo were taken into custody and transported to the Fulton County Jail. Both face charges of trafficking methamphetamine and trafficking cocaine.
The Roswell Police Department stated that the proactive investigation is part of its commitment to protecting the community from dangerous drugs. The investigation remains active, and additional arrests may be forthcoming.
