DEA and Spalding County Deputies Seize 10 Kilograms of Cocaine During Traffic Stop
SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. — On August 5, 2025, agents from the DEA Atlanta Division and the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office seized 10 kilograms of cocaine following a traffic stop on a Toyota 4Runner.
During the stop, a deputy discovered an after-market concealed compartment inside the vehicle where the cocaine was hidden. One individual, who had crossed into the U.S. illegally, was arrested on drug trafficking charges.
“DEA’s mission remains the same, seize dangerous drugs before they reach our communities, and bring to justice those criminals responsible,” said Jae W. Chung, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the DEA Atlanta Division.
Sheriff Darrell Dix highlighted the importance of partnerships between federal and local law enforcement agencies in combating drug trafficking.
