Atlanta Police Bust Major Drug Operation Following Community Complaints

ATLANTA, GA – The Atlanta Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, in collaboration with the City of South Fulton’s K9 Unit, has successfully executed a search warrant at a Huff Road NW apartment, seizing a significant quantity of illegal narcotics, cash, and leading to an ongoing investigation into suspected drug activity.
The operation stemmed from community concerns raised in June 2025 by residents at 903 Huff Road NW, who reported a strong odor of marijuana and heavy foot traffic around a third-floor unit.
Throughout June and July 2025, the APD Narcotics Unit conducted a series of operations targeting the identified apartment. During these operations, officers consistently detected a strong odor of raw marijuana emanating from the unit.
On July 15th, a judge approved a search warrant for the third-floor property. The City of South Fulton’s K9 Unit was brought in, and their trained dog provided a positive alert for the presence of narcotics at the apartment.
The search warrant was executed on July 15, 2025, at 903 Huff Road NW, Apt 3302, with the APEX Unit facilitating entry and APD tactical officers providing perimeter support.
Items recovered during the search include:
- 14.15 lbs. of marijuana
- 438 grams of MDMA
- 494 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
- 0.5 grams of Acetaminophen Oxycodone pills
- 14.7 grams of Dextroamphetamine pills
- 2.8 grams of blue M30 pills
- Two 1-pint bottles of promethazine
- $1,340 in cash
