Teen Arrested in Glynn County Auto Break-Ins

GLYNN COUNTY, GA – A 15-year-old male is facing multiple charges after being arrested in connection with several vehicle break-ins at D&J Automotive on Granville Nix Lane.
The investigation began on July 15 at approximately 11:29 a.m. when Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) officers responded to reports of multiple auto break-ins at the business. Upon arrival, officers found that several vehicles had been unlawfully entered overnight, with various personal items stolen, including sunglasses, knives, a watch, and other miscellaneous property.
While processing the crime scene and reviewing video surveillance, which clearly showed the suspect entering the vehicles, GCPD officers spotted the individual walking down the sidewalk on Altama Avenue. Officers quickly apprehended the suspect and, after contacting his guardians, interviewed him at GCPD headquarters. During the interview, the suspect admitted to his involvement in the break-ins, and officers were able to recover the stolen property.
The juvenile suspect has been charged with three counts of Entering an Automobile with the Intent to Commit Theft. He has since been released to the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice and awaits a court appearance.
