Atlanta Police Arrest Suspect After Kidnapping, Car Overturns

A domestic incident on Tuesday night, June 24, 2025, escalated into an alleged kidnapping and ended with a vehicle overturning, leading to the arrest of a male suspect.

Atlanta Police officers responded around 8:50 p.m. to a report of an adult kidnapping at 400 W. Peachtree St NW. The preliminary investigation indicates that a male suspect—believed to be the victim’s ex-spouse—forcibly entered her vehicle and drove away with her inside.

Multiple police units quickly canvassed the area, tracking the vehicle’s location. Officers successfully located the vehicle with both occupants at 370 Northside Drive NW. The car had been involved in an accident and overturned.

Medical personnel were immediately called to the scene. Both the victim and the suspect were transported to the hospital with injuries. The suspect has been placed in custody at Grady Detention with multiple charges pending.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
