Body Found in Glynn County Box Truck; Two Arrested on Drug, Gun Charges

The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) is conducting a death investigation after a deceased male was found inside a company box truck at a gas station, leading to the arrest of two North Carolina residents on various drug and firearm charges.

On June 12, 2025, at approximately 10:00 P.M., GCPD officers responded to the Friendly Express Gas Station located at 2501 Perry Lane Road for a death investigation. Upon arrival, they located a deceased male inside a company box truck. Two individuals present at the scene were identified as Willie Thomas and Jamie Schneider, both residents of North Carolina.

As part of the ongoing investigation, a search warrant was executed on the vehicle. Officers recovered multiple suspected illegal substances, including cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, and fentanyl. Additionally, a stolen Glock handgun, a digital scale, and a glass smoking device commonly associated with narcotics use were found.

Following interviews at GCPD Headquarters, both Thomas and Schneider were arrested and transported to the Glynn County Detention Center. Their charges are as follows:

Willie Thomas:

  • Possession of Drug-Related Objects
  • Possession of Schedule II Substance (Fentanyl)
  • Possession of Schedule II Substance (Cocaine)
  • Possession of Schedule II Substance (Crack Cocaine)
  • Possession of Marijuana Less Than an Ounce
  • Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm)
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Jamie Schneider:

  • Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm)
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

The deceased male is suspected to have died from a drug overdose. His body has been transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Crime Lab for a full autopsy to determine the official cause of death. The recovered substances have also been submitted to the GBI for scientific analysis and confirmation.
