Man Fatally Shot Near Ridge Road in Paulding County; Suspect Sought

On Monday, June 9, 2025, at approximately 2:25 p.m., Paulding County E-911 received a call from a man reporting that he had been shot near the intersection of Ridge Road and Cohran Store Road.

The victim, who made the 911 call himself, told dispatchers he had been involved in an altercation with a Black male driving a black SUV. During the encounter, the victim stated he was shot.

After the shooting, the victim drove himself to Paulding County Fire Station 5 at 4215 Ridge Road in an attempt to get emergency medical help. He was then transported to WellStar Paulding Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, pending notification of next of kin.

Detectives with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office are actively investigating the case and are searching for the suspect, described as a Black male driving a black SUV.
