Major Drug Bust in Decatur: DeKalb Police Seize Ecstasy, Marijuana, Firearms, and Cash

A citizen complaint led to a significant drug bust on June 4, 2025, when DeKalb County Police Department Vice detectives, supported by Narcotics and SWAT units, executed a search warrant at 2855 Norgate Lane. The operation resulted in one felony arrest and the seizure of a substantial amount of illicit substances, firearms, and drug paraphernalia.

Authorities confiscated 9.8 ounces of Ecstasy, 57.23 pounds of marijuana, and 50 Oxycodone pills. In addition to the narcotics, five firearms were seized, including two assault rifles. A large sum of cash was also recovered, alongside digital scales, vacuum sealers, money counters, and numerous empty packaging bags—all indicative of drug distribution operations.

The DeKalb County Police Department emphasized that the investigation was initiated directly from a citizen complaint, underscoring the critical role of community partnership in maintaining neighborhood safety.
