Warren County High School Teacher Arrested for Terroristic Threats

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged Mason Garrett, a 22-year-old teacher at Warren County High School, with one felony count of Terroristic Threats and Acts. Garrett resides in Newton County, GA.
The investigation was initiated on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the request of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer, following a reported incident involving terroristic threats made by Garrett at the high school on April 24, 2025.
According to the GBI investigation, Mason Garrett made verbal threats to shoot both staff and students at Warren County High School.
Garrett was arrested on April 29, 2025, and subsequently booked into the McDuffie County Jail.
