12-Year-Old Arrested After Realistic Airsoft Gun Falls to Floor on Newton County School Bus
A 12-year-old male student from Clements Middle School was arrested on Friday, May 2, after a realistic-looking Airsoft BB gun was discovered on a Newton County school bus.
According to school officials, the student had hidden the BB gun, which resembled a Glock handgun, under a seat before exiting the bus. The gun was later found by students en route to the Newton College and Career Academy after the bus struck a bump and the weapon fell to the floor.
The student was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon on a school bus and disruption of school operations. He was transported to Juvenile Court.
