Warner Robins Man Killed in Macon Motorcycle Collision

A fatal traffic collision occurred on Hawkinsville Road, north of the Allen Road intersection in Macon, at approximately 7:33 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a motorist in a Chevrolet Avalanche was turning left onto Hawkinsville Road from a gas station when their vehicle collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling north on Hawkinsville Road.

The driver of the Chevrolet Avalanche, a 42-year-old male from Macon, was transported to a medical facility and is listed in stable condition. The operator of the Harley Davidson, a 40-year-old male from Warner Robins, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Deputy Coroner Richard Robinson. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Hawkinsville Road was temporarily closed between Houston Road and Allen Road during the investigation but has since reopened. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the collision and urges anyone with information to contact them.
