Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Footage in Villa Rica Carjacking Investigation

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is requesting camera footage from residents of the Indian Lake Trail subdivision in Villa Rica from Thursday, April 24, 2025, between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM. The request is related to an ongoing carjacking investigation in the area.
Investigators are attempting to identify a suspect described as a dark-skinned Black male, approximately 5’5” tall, in his 30s to 40s, with short, wavy hair. He was last seen wearing black shorts and a white T-shirt.
The victim sustained injuries during the carjacking but was able to escape with her vehicle, a 2024 blue Jeep Compass with a Florida license plate, in Douglas County after the suspect exited the vehicle. The Jeep is currently being processed for evidence.
Residents of the Indian Lake Trail subdivision or nearby areas who have home security or other camera footage from the specified time are asked to review their recordings.
