Early Morning Domestic Dispute Leads to Arrests for Reckless Conduct in Monroe

Early this morning, Friday, April 25, 2025, at approximately 2:01 am, Monroe Police Department officers responded to two reports of gunshots fired at 238 Douglas Street. Upon arrival, officers contacted resident Camelia Reynolds, who, after initial investigation, admitted to being involved in a domestic dispute with her boyfriend, Bobby Copeland, who also lives at the residence. The investigation revealed that Reynolds fired a gun outside her home, and a bullet struck a neighbor’s vehicle.
Camelia Reynolds and Bobby Copeland were both taken into custody and charged with Obstruction, Reckless Conduct, and Criminal Damage to Property. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Investigators have stated that they believe this to be an isolated incident and do not believe it is connected to the fatal shooting of Jeremiah Hickks that occurred on April 19, 2025, at 229 Douglas Street.
