Savannah Police Arrest Suspect in Fatal Fernwood Drive Shooting

The Savannah Police Department has arrested 20-year-old Keon Deon Sanders in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred on April 7, 2025, in the 2000 block of N. Fernwood Drive.  

Officers responded to the scene on April 7th and discovered an unresponsive adult male victim who succumbed to his injuries at the residence.  

Following an investigation, SPD obtained arrest warrants for Sanders. On Sunday, April 20th, Sanders was taken into custody and charged with murder, aggravated assault, obstruction, and concealing his identity. He had been identified as a person of interest in the ongoing investigation.
