Two Shot in Early Morning Incident in Macon; Both in Critical Condition
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault that occurred at the intersection of Monroe Avenue and Lincoln Street just before 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 5th.
Deputies responded to a call reporting a person shot in the roadway and located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Atrium Health Hospital.
Further investigation revealed that an earlier report from Atrium police regarding a female suffering from a gunshot wound is also connected to the Monroe Avenue incident.
Both the male and female victims are currently listed in critical condition. Investigators are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
