Multi-Agency Operation Nets Drug and Firearm Arrests in Washington County

A coordinated arrest operation conducted on April 2, 2025, by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and multiple state and local law enforcement agencies resulted in several arrests on drug and firearm charges.

The operation, which involved the Middle Georgia Gang Task Force, the Georgia Department of Community Supervision, the Georgia State Patrol, and the Sandersville Police Department, was the culmination of ongoing investigations.

Those arrested and charged are:

  • Demetrius M. Lewis, 46, of Tennille, GA:
    • Two counts of Sale of Cocaine
    • Two counts of Use of Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony
    • Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute
    • Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute
  • Reginald Dawson, 44, of Tennille, GA:
    • Two counts of Sale of Cocaine
    • Two counts of Use of Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony
    • Three counts of Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
    • Possession of Marijuana
  • Kendrick Reeves, 46, of Tennille, GA:
    • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
    • Possession of Marijuana
  • Keon Cooper, 26, of Sandersville, GA:
    • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
    • Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute

Authorities are also seeking:

  • Shedrick Mack, 44, of Tennille, GA:
    • Three counts of Sale of Crack Cocaine
    • Three counts of Use of a Communications Device to Facilitate a Felony.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office emphasized its commitment to public safety and its strong collaboration with partner agencies. “Our collaboration with local and state partners remains strong as we continue working to keep Washington County safe—a great place to live and raise our families,” the Sheriff’s Office stated. “If you do not abide by the law: if you break the law, you will be held accountable for your actions.”
