Macon-Bibb Opens Registration for 2025 Summer Camp Program

The Macon-Bibb County Recreation Department will open registration for its annual Summer Camp on Tuesday, April 1. The six-week program runs from June 2 through July 11, operating daily from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Click here to register online.

The camp is open to children ages 5 to 15, with a registration fee of $180 per child. The cost includes breakfast, lunch, field trips, educational and enrichment activities, craft supplies, and other recreational programs. Children must be at least 5 years old by September 1, 2024, to participate.

“We strive to create activities and programs that can be enjoyed by all our camp participants. The collective theme is ‘Striving for Greatness and Macon Memories,’” said Recreation Programmer Natalie Allen. “Each recreation facility will have programs designed to provide campers with a fun and educational experience. They will help build camaraderie, foster teamwork, and encourage personal growth.”

Camps will be held at multiple locations, including L.H. Williams, Memorial, South Bibb, Bloomfield-Gilead, Delores A. Brooks, Frank Johnson, Rosa Jackson, and Theron Ussery recreation centers. This year, campers will have free access to swimming at centers with pools, including South Bibb, Frank Johnson, and Delores A. Brooks recreation centers. Lifeguards will be on duty, and participants must bring their own swimsuits and towels.
