Arrest Made in 2022 Suwanee Homicide After New York Tip
Delano Hill

The Gwinnett County Police Department Homicide Unit has arrested Delano Hill, 20, of Suwanee, in connection with a 2022 cold case homicide.

The arrest followed a collaborative investigation with the New York Police Department (NYPD), who contacted Gwinnett County investigators in late December 2024. The NYPD had uncovered information from Hill, a suspect in their own investigation, who provided specific details about a September 2022 homicide in Suwanee that had not been publicly released.

On September 5, 2022, the Gwinnett County Police Department responded to a medical call on Ridge Oak Drive, Suwanee, and found a deceased male in his 40s with an apparent stab wound in the front yard of a residence.

On March 21, 2025, Hill was arrested at his home and interviewed by Gwinnett County Homicide detectives before being booked into the Gwinnett County Jail. He faces charges of aggravated assault, felony murder, and malice murder.

The Gwinnett County Police Department expressed gratitude to the NYPD for their assistance in the case.
